Here is the outdoor enclosure I keep my baby platynota in as much as I can. I can't wait until they can stay out there 24/7. They actually only have access to part of the pen right now, but when they get bigger, I will let them use the whole thing which will give them about 3x as much space as they have right now. It already takes me forever to find them in the space they have. These are mostly pictures of the underground hide I made so they have a place that is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. I dug a hole about 3' deep, then filled it with about 12' of rock for drainage, then covered that with some dirt.
After that, some Eco-earth.
Then lots of moss.
Then I built a wood top for it with 1 1/2' rigid insulation.
Here is the other end of the space with their water.
I still have some more things to do, but they have a number of bushes to hide under and they seem pretty content when they are out there, so it is just a matter of making sure the temperatures are ok when they are out there.
