Good morning all,
I am thinking to build an outdoor enclosure for my 5" Aldabra, this guy is getting big. What kind of materials can be used for walls and easy to get (from Lowes and homedepot)? I know cedar is toxic for reptiles, what about pine? or PVC trim boards? I am planning to release the tort for daytime and bring it back to its indoor enclosure during nighttime. We do not have cat or dog, and any other animals except wild birds are visiting our backyard every day. We have security cameras monitoring our front/back yards, I have never seen raccoons or snakes nearby our house, but sometimes squirrels may come. Do I need to build a lid for the outdoor enclosure?
I will provide multiple hides and plants in the outdoor enclosure for the tort to get away from the hot sun, the irrigation system is available as well.
Any ideas or recommendations will be welcomed!!
Really appreciated!
