Hey all,

I've never posted here before but I just wanted to share my shock!

Last June our 1 year old tortoise went missing from our garden. We spent over a week pulling up everything in the garden but with no luck.

Anyway, this morning a neighbour 4 doors down knocks on the door and asks if we know if anyone has a tortoise, and it was her!! Nearly one year on she is found happily walking around a garden. Not only did she survive the whole winter, but to get to that garden she would also have to have crossed 3 huge gardens including a horse field!

It really is incredible what these little creatures can do!

This is truly amazing! You're so very lucky (and so is the tortoise)!

What a marvelous story!
Thanks for sharing it with us and welcome to the Forum.
Just make sure she does't escape again!

Congrats on her return. Hopefully you will do a better job of containing her this time around. :)

Incredible but true! Goodness what a wonderful  story....it sounds like a fairy tale.

How's your sweet tort after it returned home? I bet that you're happy and so is your tort. Take care it doesn't do that again!
