So, I finally finished our new indoor enclosure for our sulcata babies...Dudley and Delilah. I made it into a "Tortie Tiki" since we live near the beach and our whole house is very beachy inside. Do you think they will notice? LOL I love how they both had to check out the new ramp as soon as it was installed! So adventurous! We are already starting on our second enclosure so we can separate them. The enclosure is in our "Carolina" room...which is a room similar to a sunroom....extreme humidity and heat all day. I use a CHE at night. We are watching the humidity levels closely to make sure they stay high enough. I will probably have to add a top cover in the winter to insure things stay humid enough. We'll see how it goes. In the meantime, I am enjoying watching them explore their new space. For those that are interested....the large box is approximately 3' x 7', and 20" high. The smaller box mounted at the top is 18" x 24" by 8" high and is the enclosure that was given to us when we bought them from the breeder. We are using orchid bark as a substrate.
