Half of Opo's tail is black/ dark brown.
The skin looks like it should but the color is what is bothering me.
Is this normal? I don't think it's dirt. I noticed it about 2 weeks ago. He gets soaked everyday and while it was sticking out. I tried scrubbing with a toothbrush.
That didn't last very long before the tail was gone:). Tried to scrub while it was to the side. If you want to see a sulcata jump. That will do it!

It doesn't look abnormal to me, but maybe someone else can chime in.

Thanks I just noticed it about 2 weeks ago. But it could have been like that for awhile.

Normal. It gets stained by poop, substrate, and it just gets dirty from, well... dirt.

Maybe his tail is stained from dirt and poop?

I gave up on Daisy's filthy little self.... I tried the tooth brush scrub and as soon as I do it... she poops and then walks in it and finds dirt... I'm over it.... she was probably a pig in a previous life LOL

I bet there comes a time for many sulcata keepers where the tortoise's will to be dirty becomes greater than the keeper's will to try to keep them looking presentable :D

I think stained is the keyword. Opo soaks everyday and I tried scrubbing it.
