Oakland, California zoo

My girlfriend is in a masters program in Oakland, ca. Don't underestimate the town, we both come from a very small dairy town an have come to enjoy this town from what we've seen. He last semester of school was Wednesday, so we decided to visit the zoo near where she lives. It was a good experience and I enjoyed seeing the three Galapagos tortoise, three aldabras and one sulcata . Here's the animals, enjoy!

OMG! What a beautiful sulcata. Do you have any idea how big he was or how much he weighed?

I'm glad you remembered what we looked like Yvonne! The sulcata was APPROXIMATELY 28-32 inches and 110-130 pounds. I only saw it when I realized their was a sleeping area for these guys. Otherwise. I would have had no idea it was there. It was pretty active

You've given me the urge to go to the oak zoo. I haven't been in a couple years and live only 25 minutes away. I love Oakland as well

It's pretty cool. I enjoyed it. It took me an a group of us (whom only one person had gone before) two hours to get through it. It was a little chilly so not a lot of movement with the cold blooded animals.
