Hello, I have an 18 month old leopard tortoise who is about to outgrow his/her current hide. I was wondering if I could make one out of oak from a tree I recently trimmed in my yard. Any input is appreciated!

I don't know, but want to see pics if you can. I wouldn't think it would be a problem. The only thing I know about oak is that they aren't suppose to eat the leafs. This post will give you a bump. See what others say:D

Thanks for the input so far...I will be sure and post pics when it is finished. Just wanted to make sure it was safe before I start making it.
