Try feeding dandelions, radicchio, mulberry leaves, and Belgian endive. These are the foods my torts seem to prefer.

Check your basking spot temperature; if too cool tortoises will be unable to digest food and will not eat. Basking spot should be 95 degrees F; cool side should be 70 to 75 during daytime.

Good luck.

I would find out what his previous keepers were feeding him and offer him that for now, make sure he's warm enough like Will suggested and give him time to adjust to a new situation. Tortoises are pretty territorial, so he's been moved from familiar ground and simply could be stressed out...

A week is not unheard of for not eating....I am curious, and this may simply be the angle in the picture, in the first pic it appears he is a bit "pudgy" on his right side above his right front leg???? Is that just the picture.....?

Henry may indeed be a Henrietta. Long tail tucked to the side would make him a Henry. Short stubby tail would make her a Henrietta. Post a good pic from the back and under side.
