Alright so today I did my 3rd ever rescue!! It's a tiny little box turtle (eastern I think) and right now he doesn't have much because it was very last minute but I've done what I can. Last night he was left in the 25 degree weather outside until morning in front of a pet store. Naturally I HAD to take it home!! Any info would be appreciated including if it looks healthy, approximate age (baby or adult) etc. ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1430076476.948385.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1430076499.682435.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1430076517.333664.jpg

From the size of the tail I would guess it's a female.
Definitely an adult, beak is in good condition, as is the shell.
It won't need an aquarium, as it will need a pool do bathe in, try feeding it strawberries, blackberries, peas and for meat earth worms, super worms and you can try dog pellets (they work for me).
Good luck and a great find!

Eastern boxie in what looks to be good condition surprisingly considering its owner abandoned it like that in the cold. Luck you.
