So excited! Girly, my Eastern Box Turtle (rescue, unknown age, I've had for 5 years) laid 4 eggs last night! Promptly put them in the incubator that was ready and waiting! Hope this is the first of many eggs this summer!

I've been handling Redfoot eggs all winter and boy do they seem small after the Redfoot eggs!

How long do Box Turtle eggs take to hatch?

Congratulations! Will you be keeping or selling the hatchlings?

Last year my easterns hatched after 49 days in the incubator. Not sure how long they were in the nest before I found them though.

Congrats!!
I just put three 3-toed Box turtle eggs in the incubator this evening.
First for the season for me, too.

Thanks for the replies. Assuming they all hatch (I don't like to count my eggs before they hatch!) I'll be selling some of them to approved homes. NO pet stores, NO wholesalers, only approved homes I'm confident will enjoy the turtle for life.

Hope to be seeing blood vessels soon. I'll post picts if I do!
