Newbie here!

My husband has raised one in the past but this is our family's first tortoise. We are building his habitat this week but for now we have him inside a glass house, with a heat lamp and bedding the pet store gave us. He loves to be outside we live in the south. What can I put on the bottom to make him more comfy until Saturday?

Hi saints1107 and welcome to the Forum!

I like to use orchid bark or cypress mulch. You want something you can moisten. I suggest you read this thread and forget whatever you were told when you bought the tortoise:
