NEW RUSSIAN TORTOISE

Hi, my name is Kaitlyn
I recently adopted a tortoise his name is mike.
He's a Russian tortoise.
I read about his speices for 2 hours.. He's kept indoors.
Right now he's hiding under my blanket while I drink coffee.
He's scared and nervous a lot I want him to know me & that I love him & only want to take care of him. I'm wanting any information & or tips on anything!!!
I've always wanted him & I finally got him.
He even is getting a cute wardrobe in the mail.

Since your tortoise is new, it would probably be best to let him have as much time in his safe enclosure as possible. This well help him get to known his new territory. Things to hide under and substrate to dig down into will help him feel safe while he adjusts.

He seems fine he's been alone so much when his owner went away so I adopted him. He's on my tummy now. I need major help!!! I bought a uvb light today I could only afford the bulb & I put it in my floor lamp. Its an exo Terra uvb 100 13 watt. I'm going to try & takea pic of how I set it up I just want him to be safe

Its not lettingme put the pic up. But its a bendy lamp & iI bent it down on his area. Its at least 4 feet above him
