betweenshells

Hi everyone, I just got a new redfoot tortoise. She was living in pretty bad conditions, in a chicken coop here in central Texas for who knows how long. I believe she is about 2 years old. She has shell rot on the bottom of her shell and has mild pyramiding. My brother has had her for 6 months but he's moving so now she's in my hands! This is my first tortoise, my brother has done what he can but I don't know if he was able to provide her everything she needs since he lived in a very small apartment. She's currently in a 36" x 18" aquarium, with half of it covered. I added more substrate, a mix of forest floor, moss and coconut fiber to what she already had in there. She had isopods but not sure if they are still there since I added the new substrate. I'm currently able to see the temperature one her warm side where her uvb light is and her hide is while I'm not sure what her cool side temp is. Gonna get a new gadget this black Friday so I can know what both sides are. She's about 5 inches long or so, has a shallow bowl with water that I change everyday or every other day, I mist her space anywhere between 3-6x per day as well but her humidity still seems to drop mid-day. I'm working on a larger outside area about 4'x2' but it's winter time so she won't be able to get out there til the weather is at around 75 to 80 degrees outside I'm guessing.
I can upload photos of her as well as her enclosure and really looking for tips and constructive criticism so I can know what to plan for so I can set her up to live a healthy and long life. I've had her for about one week and a half so far. Her activity seems well though noticed that it's decreased since I remodeled her enclosure. I added temporary construction paper so she isn't stressed by the glass. She eats two to three times a week, dandelion leaves and flowers, marigold leaves and flowers, some fruit like mangos and strawberries, a couple of worms or crickets in calcuim and D3 supplement. I also soak her a few times a week and do her shell rot treatment 3 times a week as well. She does spend a lot of her time in her hide.
