Been lurking the forum a while, and the juvenile enclosure is completed and ready to share.

Then work will begin on a new, larger indoor enclosure for the seasons he can't be outside.

Favorite foods include papaya, rose petals, and canned snails. 20200913_141448.jpg20200913_163302.jpg

Cute tort! I love the first pic where he's just staring you out for taking a picture!

Those combo gauges never worked right for me! But just looking at that handsome torts shows that you got the heat humidity combo just right!

I want to get a digital gauge for humidity, I have one for heat on the warm side that runs a dimmer/thermostat. I've got a few analog heat gauges and they're all a little off but close enough to each other that I feel OK about the heat.

Thanks for the compliment on the tort! He's still new and pretty shy, but is getting out of his hide a but more.

Hello and welcome.
Everything looks very good including the readings on those horrible gauges.
I recommend buying one of these digital dual gauges. (Already mentioned)
They're about $10 and most stores with a garden department has them.
This one is more than 7 years old and still has its original battery!
These are much more accurate also.

Got the digital humidity gauge, giving me the same reading as the analog ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My Redfoot is still in "hide constantly" mode as he's only been home for less than a week.

I just got one last month of amazon and it already died. Lots of reviews say the same thing about it I think maybe the manufacturer changed. ?

Boy. I'm very surprised.
I actually own 2 others. They're somewhere in a box. But I'll bet they're still working too.
And the one was inside a very wet closed chamber for months.
