Hi everyone. Just joined today. My name is Nick and I live in Arizona. I currently have two baby sulcatas. A fearless one named Roy and a smaller, more shy one named Wendy. I know, rookie mistake having a pair. Roy was pretty aggressive towards Wendy at first, but they seemed to have calmed down since then. Sometimes I can't tell which is the dominant one. Anyway, I look forward to talking with you guys and sharing experiences and such in the future. Later!20160610_131304.jpg20160218_114706.jpg

Welcome to the forum. Wendy is most likely shy due to the constant stress of not being able to escape Roy's territory. Doing her best to stay out of his way. I would separate them before she becomes sick, and it is an obvious problem.
That are very cute!

Thank you! And while I do know about the effects of two sulcatas living together, they originally had separate enclosures and she was just as shy then. That being said, I do plan on separating them again as soon as possible.

I agree with Jodie. They need to be separated. That behaviour you describe isn't cute - it's dominance.

They are solitary creatures that don't need, want or particularly like company. They don't get lonely and don't need a friend. Sulcatas ars particularly bad when it comes to defending teritory and food and you will have a sick tort on your hands.

Hi Nick, and welcome to the forum!

Arizona seems to be a great place to raise sulcatas. We have a few members living there who have shared pictures with us showing pretty awesome sulcatas!
