Hi Everyone!

My name is Lisa. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. My husband and I are the proud new parents of a Hermann hatchling named Oswald. We are very much looking forward to watching this little guy grow up. Although I am a veterinarian, I have limited experience with reptiles. I will likely have many questions in the coming months. I look forward to chatting with you all :)

Lisa

Welcome to the Forum, Lisa. Its great to have another vet on the Forum, and I hope we can turn to you with medical questions in the future.

I certainly hope to be able to be of help with medical questions in the future once I've gotten a little experience under my belt. I've been practicing small animal medicine for 11 years, occasionally delving in exotics. This is my first real reptile experience; although I've always been a HUGE fan of tortoises and turtles :)

Hello!
I am thinking of (when I get the money) buying a small tortoise that doesn't hibernate and to keep indoors when I out.
Would you recommend a Hermann?
