My Osborne fiberglass heating pad came in today. About 23x23x36, at 90 watts. Also bought a thermostat control. Now testing and calibrating the temp of this heat pad with a meat thermometer taped to it. I'm thinking the 90 watts is not enough. Might have to return this and get a 2'x3' pad at 110/120 watts (I forget which). To be continued.

Before you return it- place it on a non-flamable material (Concrete, sand etc.) and plug it in without the thermostat. Let it sit there plugged in for an hour then check the temps. See it it's warm enough then. I use mine with no thermostat.
Just a suggestion.

I know this is not a new thread, but I just now saw it. I wanted to offer my 2 cents worth.

Those small controllers, while cheaper to buy, are no good. I have the F911 controllers with my pig blankets and I bought one of the smaller ones because I needed another controller and didn't have the big bucks for the F911. Well, long story short, its a piece of junk. Don't use it. Get the F911.
