Hello all,
My Wife and I will be picking this guy up from a friend and we need help identifying the type of tortoise he is. I did a Google search but cant seem to match up exactly what kind he is. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Rich, and welcome to the Forum!

I don't keep Greeks or Hermann's, and so I've never really tried to school myself in I.D.ing them. There are a couple of good tutorials at the top of the Hermanns and Greek section, though. Maybe they will help you I.D. the new little guy.

I know that Hermann's Boettgari (sp?) have 5 claws on the front feet, and it looks like your guy has five claws. But I don't know if Greeks also have 5 claws.

Welcome to the forum. Have you visited the specie specific section yet? Lots of good stuff there. As far as which it is, Greek or Hermanns, the care is the same I believe.
