Hi everyone!

I've been expanding my family of greek tortoises and realized with the arrival of my two babies, that I'm not sure of the variety of subspecies I have. If anyone can help, I'd be grateful!

Penelope is the oldest girl I have - the only one I've guessed the sex (hopefully right!?). She's about 20-24 months, just shy of 4 inches long and 175 grams. When I got her, she was starting to show very slightly raised scutes around her hips and rear center. Not sure if the former keeper fed her poorly, over fed her or had her humidity all wrong but I've tried to adjust her to what many folks recommend on this forum to make sure the new growth is right.

Phillip is about 12 months, 2 5/8 inches and 65 grams. Appears to be the same subspecies as Penelope?

Eek, short for Aeschylus, is a whopping 2 inches and 28 grams. :D

Xexe, short for Xenophan, is also an enormous 2 inches and 28 grams and appears to be the same subspecies as Eek? I just know these two are going to be a funny little pair of trouble :p

Anyway, thanks for your help!

Eek and XeXe look like Jordanians, and Philip and Penelope look like Iberians. Let's see if Danny agrees, lol.

Eek, XeXe and Penelope are Jordanians, Testudo graeca ssp and Philip is Turkish, T. graeca ibera. The Jordanians look to be all female and Philip looks to be a male.
