Keeping turtles n torts has become an expensive hobby. Just got my new 40gal along with a fluval 305 and some lights. Ideas keep running through my head of what I want to do next. Here are a fee pics of what my tank looks like after a week.

Yeah those are 2 musks. The larger of the 2 I found while fishing. He was about the size
of a nickel when I picked him up. The other I purchased a month later. I've been through alot of filters and I found the fluval 305 for $85 brand new on ebay. I have a few more plants and a piece of driftwood still waiting to be put in.

I love the way you used concrete bricks. They actually look really nice.

Don't mind the cloudiness but I finally recieved my manazita wood. Took longer than expected on delivery but worth the wait. Covered it in java moss and this is what the final product looks like. Now everything just needs to grow in.

So wont the turtles tear up the planting? I ask because I don't know, but it would seem logic would dictate yes?

I have a strange pair of turtles. My turtles do the opposite of what you would think. Lol the only time they tear them up is if I plant them to close to something. So between the glass and a plant they need room to get through otherwise they make room. As far as eating them they don't bother. They don't eat fish or plants just there pellets.

That little guy is cute. I'm a big fan of petco dollar per gallon sales. 40 gallons 40 bucks can't bear that.
