Never seen this before - hope it (they) hatches

Had a lot of tortoise eggs pass through here over the years. I've never seen anything like this. Burmese Star eggs...

OMG could that be like conjoined twins? Keep us posted on what happens, if it hatches, etc. Hope they aaren't deformed:(

For sure interesting, if fertile could be even more interesting. I have never had anything like that either.

Ahh! I have to get some slides scanned. I hatched one just like that in 1983. Two perfect neonates emerged from the joined eggs.

yeah I would think conjoined twins...if it doesnt hatch, I still think you should xray it to see.....donate to science or something...:p

Yes, definitely xray or open it if they don't make it. This is amazing, I hope they make it just fine!

There is definitely a wall between the 2 eggs so if they are fertile, there should end up being 2 hatchlings. We'll see. I will update as things progress...

This is really cool...if you can tell there is separation in the eggs my guess is that sometime during late stage development they migrated too close together and the not yet fully formed eggshells fused. I don't think it should hurt their chances much.
