I have a baby redfoot thag actually is doing great comes out on its on. Eats from my hand and eats regularly. One day I saw this on its she'll and I got concerned. Can someone give me insight on what it is??
If it is shell rot then I believe there is an anti fungal cream that some use to fix this. I forget the scientific name. It's benz-something I think. Yvonne G recommends it often. Hopefully she sees this.
You need to get an athlete foot cream (or jock itch cream lol) with Clotrimazole in it. This is was cures the rot.
Does the bottom of his shell smell bad? Is the shell peeling?
It looks more like a fungus growing on the shell. Take a soft bristle brush and gently scrub it off. If it doesn't come off, then apply athlete's foot cream to it daily for a couple weeks, and allow the substrate to dry out a bit.
