She has found my mini roses and lives them. Glad I'm not too attached :)

Yes...a handy and nutritious source of steppe tortoise food. I have a climbing Cecile Brunner rose right next to my steppe tortoise pen and when its blooming I always toss some flowers into their pen. The leaves are edible too.

One day I was trimming excess branches off a rose bush in my pond area and I dropped on long branch as I was carrying them through the Aldabran tortoises pen. Later in the day when I was back in there, I saw the branch all chewed up down to the thickest part of the branch, and it was shredded! Thorns and all!!

My Tommy loves roses and hibiscus flower! I just love watching then eat!
