My new turtles

Hello everyone [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES] im new here i joined today. I've got 2 turtles 1 girl 1 boy they r really cute and they r babies I love them so much and I want to raise them as well as I can. So is there any advice any of u can give? I will load their lovely photos here thanks x

red eared turtles. I live in Turkey so only turtle species we've got are these :/

Hello and Welcome.

Are you sure you only can get turtles in Turkey? You can not pick-up turtles to pat them like tortoises, especially when they getting big.

Of cause. we love turtles too.

I have two as well. M and f. When they talk to get about 5 inches , the male may flutter his front legs by her face as a sign of affection or anger. So watch out for that. And have you started feeding them proteins yet? As babies they will chase fish and snails more then veggies. Rosie's or small minnows are the best. Never give them gold fish.
Spinach and romaine are my turtles favorites. Bananas, zucchini, and cranberries too.

In turkey you can get more turtles or tortoises than trachemys scripta.
I saw a dealer in turkey with some kinds of testudo or something like that.
