Nice. I do recomend maybe using some mulch and moss so they can hide a bit more. I know mine loooove to hide or soak in a big water tub.

Ahh ok. Yeah they like a lot of room. Just wait till they get 60 to 80 pounds.

Hi Filbert:

I love emys!!! I'd like to see a picture of your current enclosure. From this old picture, I'm seeing some pretty dry tortoises. I keep mine quite a bit wetter than yours seem to be.

You should grab some organic soil and I use peat moss on top of that, to help with moisture and humidity, also providing plants will help with humidity spraying them down works but once it dries humidity drops. You should do about 8 inches of soil sounds like a lot but in the long run it makes things easy. On top of that just some peat moss add water to it to make it moist not wet but moist. The. Spray it anytime humidity drops if it still looks moist but humidity dropped its because the top layer dried out and uses any moisture trapped underneath, what I do, I have a stick. Yes a stick lol. I just stir up the soil turn it over and that will bring humidity up without having to spray down the enclosure. Benefits of this, over time your enclosure will collect water in the bottom if you have no drain. To prevent that gotta spray less water give the soil a chance to dry, turning it ill help. After a few months tho. I change the substrate out, keep it clean.
