I am happy to report brains survived his first night outside. I went out first thing this am to check on him, this is what I saw....

That is too cute. He looks happy to me or stuck lol. Glad he made it fine through the night. How did you do? I am nerves having Tatum out during the day and leaving. Can't imagine how I am going to be when he gets to stay out all night.

I love seeing the little heads poking up! I actually did ok with him outside. Woke up around 6 and peeked out. Once I saw the enclosure was intact(lol) I was ok. Then I grabbed a cup of coffee and came out to see brains popping up!

What I like about this picture, is it shows just how well they can dig in, yet not leave much of a sign that they have. One of the reasons it can be so hard to find some of those missing tortoises.

Awesome!!!!! How funny would it have been if you did a little flower cut out and laid it around his head...."honey, look what bloomed in the enclosure over night"....lol :D
