Thank you, though I think they will only get one more year in that enclosure, then they have to move into the yard.

They are beautiful. You've done a good job. You know we love seeing Aldabra pics. We are lucky that Greg (ALDABRAMAN) share his herd with us. Let's us feel almost like we are a part of the herd ourselves. We get to see them grow up to, well the little ones he does keep for a while, and Tuff, well we are all in love with Tuff. Would be nice if you would start an ongoing thread too, like Greg and share yours with us often:D. I know I am not the only one that would love to keep track.

Beautiful:). Do you live in Florida also? So you have two from Greg? And four total? Or are they all from Greg? They are very nice. Good job.

Wow. Such perfectly smooth shells, exuding good health, and voracious appetites. I envy you. Lovely tort herd. :)

no, I am in Rockland County NY. Yes I have two from Greg(one being the infamous no nuchal scute) and the other two are imports that are now three yr. olds. ;)

That is great. How do you house them in the cold, snowy winter months? You must, please continue this thread with ongoing updates, please. I think it's great that you live in NY and have been able to raise such smooth great looking torts. I know the ones from Greg got a great start, but the imports, I would have to assume not such a great start, and they all look very good. Are the imports Toucan Jungles? Would love to see how you house them in the winter. Sorry, I don't mean to pound you with questions. I live in Chicago, so I like seeing what others do with large torts in the northern cold states. I would love an Aldabra some day and more room:D

In the winter they come in around Thanksgiving and go back out around March 1(once the day highs get back in the 40's) Thats with 24 hr. access to a heated shed which they go in on their own. The smooth shells are all about keeping them properly hydrated. The two imports were not that smooth when I received them but as they get bigger is not really noticeable on them.
