Can my female mexican box turtle (over 15cm , 550g) have mate activity? I'm scared about that my male mexican box can attack a female and get hurt. Especially male's claw hurt female's skin.
Supervise their contact. I only allow my males and females to have limited contact and watch to ensure there is no big amounts of violence. Males will attempt to bite females and that's a normal behavior.
