Metal enclosure?

Hello fellow tort parents,

I've recently made a new addition and need to upgrade my enclosures. There's a beautiful cabinet-like piece that swings up to open - it would work amazing as an enclosure, however it's made of metal. Is metal a safe enclosure for my tortoises? Please help me out as the last thing I want is to endanger my babies.

Metal heats up quite significantly.......I'd worry about burning personally even with substrate the sides would get very hot.

This is what I was concerned about as well, I've decided not to take the risk at all.
