I was feeding my leopard gecko some meal worms when I thought I wonder what Boris would do if he saw it wiggling around! He sniffed it and tried biting it and I was shocked and pulled away! Then to see if it was just a fluke thing I showed him again and he followed it around and I wasn't fast enough to pull away and he got it =(. I'll never tease him again!!! and never give him one EVER again, but one meal worm is o k right? Then I had to tease my girlfriend who's been vegetarian her whole life that I turned our little Boris into a mini carnivore =)

Boris after destroying the meal worm!

And Leo mad after Boris ate the biggest meal worm!!!

One won't hurt as long as it isn't a frequent occurrence. Many tortoises will eat insects if given the opportunity.

Tortoise are opportunists. I just met the man today and saw the sulcata that actually hunts, kills, and eats gophers. He showed me where he witnessed it happen in the pen and every thing.

I think most will agree that one won't hurt him.
