It is very interesting to see that cherryheads males are like teenage boys, they all have different approaches to the girls. I keep my boys and girls separated for most of the year to help keep the girls' stress levels to a minimum. Now is the time I put them together. Okay, my biggest male is a typical horn dog. Chases any skirt he sees.
After one girl:
Then another:
Then another:
My medium male preferred the sensitive route, he instead focused on eating and acting nonchalant. He ignored the girls and just gave them something to look at:
Then, he used food to bring the girls to him. One girl:
Two girls:
Three girls:
Then of course the horn dog chases them all away.
Our littlest male simplified his act. He went for the BIG girls and trapped them.
