Hello everyone,
I am a first timer and i am keen to adopt (preferably) a Spur-Thigh Tortoises.

I have done a ton of research, and I'm very excited to get one!

I am completely set up and ready to go!

if any one knows anyone who needs to re-home theres I'm happy to talk to them!

To be honest i have ALWAYS wanted a turtle, but parents would never let me. So then now that I'm out on my own and old enough to get one and be mature enough to take care of it i decided to get one.

They are very cute and have amazing personalities i hear.

I had my heart set on a dog to be REALLY honest but its just not practical for me to have a dog as i commute 2 h round trip to work each day.

But I'm sooo happy I'm getting a tortoise!!!! i have been doing a lot of research. I really REALLY want to adopt one as my first choice. I want to give a lil guy some love who needs a good home! i don't see the point in buying a new one when there are lil guys who already need homes! Im not rushing into this but I'm already set up incase one is in need of a good home. Im willing to drive within 8 h of my place to pick one up! (the right one)

Im very excited and this web forum has been amazing help!
