There isn't usually much people here that want to give away there tortoise but it happens sometimes. I am sure some can give you the name of a great tortoise adoption organization.

you really do need to decide what you want.. Russian? Sulcata> ? very different needs....size..

You can also contact the California Turtle and Tortoise Club, they often have tortoises in need of a good home.
