Hi . I'm from adelanto ca . I'm looking to adopt a tortoise . I have a very large backyard and would love a tortoise to join our family. . I know many need homes so I would like to adopt one rather then purchase.. can anyone help me . Or if yours needs a home please contact me .thank you.

Do you know what kind you would like? In California, there are always CDT needing a home and usually Sulcata's needing to be rehomed. Those are larger tortoises. Maybe give a little more info on what your looking for.
I looked on the map and see that Adelanto is in SoCal over the hill from L.A. There are several chapters of the California Turtle and tortoise Club in SoCal. Look them up on the 'net, contact them and have your name put on their adoption lists.
Your tortoise will hopefully find a 'warm' place: we're all
