Does anyone have a suggestion for live grasses we can put in their enclosure for them to munch on? We have a Eastern Box turtle

I don't think they will eat much grass. Its not bad for them to have to walk on, or hide in though.

In my opinion, it's a mistake to plant grass in a box turtle enclosure, unless it's a type of clump grass that doesn't spread. Box turtles don't eat grass, but the will hide under the clumps of clump grasses. A better ground cover would be button fern, ornamental strawberry, dichondra and lots of leaf litter.

The reason I say it's a mistake is because you'll be in there weekly mowing it or down on your hands and knees hand clipping it. You make more work for yourself with a grass the animal doesn't graze on.
