I would use construction adhesive and use the blue tape to hold till it cures.Oh no, it’s not for this one, I’m getting a bigger one and would like to line that one ! I will make sure to silicone all the joints on the new one, any tips on how to actually secure a shower curtain into the bottom of my new one? Wonder if I could just staple gun it on?
Fab! Thank uI would use construction adhesive and use the blue tape to hold till it cures.
Thank you for sharing! I think I’ll find it more difficult cos it’s a vivarium rather than a tableWe used shower pan liner. It’s heavy duty but easy to work with. We stapled it. A little hard to see but we ran it right up all sides.
Brilliant! Thank uI use plastic damp proof membrane, you can get rolls of it from B&Q or builders merchants, a shower curtain or similar plastic sheet would work but the thicker the better. I fold it two or three times and then lay it in the bottom of the viv so that it comes a few centimetres up each side. You’ll need to do a bit of creative folding in the corners and take some time to make sure it’s as straight as possible.
In terms of securing it, I squirt a bunch of silicone sealant around the bottom of the walls and stick the lining to this. To finish I use black duct tape to make a seal between the walls and the membrane. It’s not super easy but it works.
When I add substrate I try to make sure it doesn’t go over the top of the tape line.
