I have a baby Russian on the way, but my lighting situation is terrible! I'm using a Zoomed powersun 100W bulb, but the temperature of my earth substrate is not reaching 90-100. The bottom most part of the fixture is 10" above the substrate, and the bulb in the fixture is about 15" away from the substrate level. Is the bulb defective? Do I need a 160W bulb?

Definitely not a 160 W bulb. You can put a piece of flat slate under the bulb and that will make it warmer. I recommend that you have the enclosure covered to help keep the heat and humidity in. Also, what are you using to measure the temperature? But temperature gun is usually pretty accurate.
