Lighting MVB

I know this is the most talked About topic, but I am still confused! I bought a MVB from Menards, but I am thinking it is the wrong type. Its 100 watts. Does this look right?

Truthfully I only use the PowerSun brand MVB. The you show, if any good, would spread the waves out in an large arc up the sides. PowerSun bulbs emit straight down for the most part.

The mercury vapor bulbs made for reptiles give off a very specific range of UVB rays. Hardware store bulbs do not. I wish it were that easy.

Okay I was wondering, I saw a thread about how expensive they are and this was about $18, so I thought it was wrong. Thank you a lot! Edgar will be happier when I get new bulb!
