Hi, as most of you probably know by now, I have a 1.5 (almost 2) y/o leopard tortoise. I was just curious for any leopard owners, what is the general weight of a leopard this age? I will post pics when I get home to show everyone what he looks like because I don’t have any current pics right now. Thank you all in advance :)

That is a handsome tortoise.

There is no average or general weight for tortoises. They all grow at vastly different rates and for a wide variety of reasons. Because of the extremes, any average would be meaningless and not helpful.

The tortoise should feel dense and heavy when you pick it up. When they are well hydrated and eating well, they always do.

Thank you! He does feel pretty dense so I’m glad that now I know I can keep it up.
