keeping tortoises in pairs

Well I can only continue to do everything correct. I do notice much more energy in him after I give him a good soaking. He always eats after he gets soaked. he does not do much exploring in between this cycle. When he arrived at my house he did look very clean and hydrated so I don't want to blame the breeder at this point. I am hoping I am just being over sensitive. If there is anything else that comes to your mind please inform me. Thank you very much

The last four days my tortoise has been eaten more than ever. Still weighing anywhere from 44 g – 48 g.he has definitely been wandering around more in his enclosure. Every time I soak him immediately when I place them back in there he runs right to food. These seem like all good signs. Is there still hope that he can be normal and survive?
