DISCLAIMER!
I have never done this before, and do not advocate allowing torts to roam the floor!

That said, poor Chug is going nuts in the bathtub! He needs decent exercise and some "fun" time.
So he has been allowed to roam for a while each day, under constant supervision.
And is he ever having a good time! He's eating when he's out, then wandering (with Mama following along), then finding a convenient corner to ram his head into for a nap.

What's the tag on him?
You'll be sorry when he's bigger and decides he wants back in that nice cool house. He'll be knocking/ramming on the door lol

When you register your desert tortoise you are issued a sticker that identifies him as being in your care.

Fortunately, when he is in his enclosure, he has no access to the door.
The tag is my phone number epoxied to his shell. (Oops...should have blanked it out).

Yes, his orange sticker is under that scute. But how many regular folks know to look for it? So I epoxied my phone number on him, just in case.

I don't think the number could be seen. At least I couldn't see it. Just seen there was something on him.

LOL...there are no steadfast "rules" to a tort in the house....while the house is not an ideal "habitat" for a tortoise it is just as good a place to allow exercise when the outside is harsh... :)
