Antoniette, we believe, is 80 years old. Bought as pets from Woolworths store in the UK for six pennies in 1931 along with another tortoise who died within a year. Looked after by my Grand Mother, when her sons went to WW2...Inherited by my Mother and transported to California with the family in 1978. We always thought she was a he.. naming her Toni. Fairly large 10 to 12 inches long, possibly, Antoniette is an Eastern Hermann's Tortoise, not totally sure, but found the info on this site very interesting and when it stops raining, we'll inspect more thoroughly!
