Just some tips for you that I've learned for myself:
You will need some sort of bedding instead of the reptile carpet as many species enjoy burrowing. I personally suggest coconut coir as it does not attract bugs, does not allow mold, and can be ingested safely if accidentally eaten with food.
I would also get a larger enclosure as tortoises can be very territorial and start bullying each other. That enclosure looks like it would be great for one tortoise, but I would definitely not recommend it for 4. What I did was I built a 4x4 enclosure for my one Redfoot, it was a lot cheaper than a glass terrarium, and it's a lot bigger than anything you can find in stores.
Last thing, I would get rid of that water dish as many tortoises have been known to flip on their backs and drown in their deep water dishes. That one is pretty dangerous, and the slope doesn't help much either.
I hope you take these critiques into consideration to make your tortoises a bit happier! (They are adorable, by the way!)
That's a beautiful enclosure but u need different substrate so they can burrow the water dish need change and that's to small for 4 torts. Who r also beautiful. Hope this helps
Thank you very much for the critiques, I really appreciate it. I just actually wanted to share the new interior background.
I would definitely agree that a substrate would be better and a bigger space essential. The reason for the carpet and space constraint is because this is in my office where I spend most of my day, this is where I can work and relieve some stress at the same time. This of course does not justify it. I am just trying to figure out a better design with more space so that they would have a bigger space to roam. I got them without having the space first because I know that I will not be able to get these torts in the future, I was just extremely lucky.
The water dish though, I am really happy. They drink and soak by themselves 2-3x a day. The reason for the 1" gap around the dish is so that they would not topple over. This dish is made by pet-tech, and is very different from the one the zoomed makes. Even if I take the dish away, the 2 radiated tortoise still topple over because they are very active, just climbing up the vertical wall and even the glass, but are able to get over in seconds.
Eventually, I will be moving them to a bigger space, but I am quite happy now because they are very active and I have no problem feeding them them. They absolutely eat anything I provide, which is a different food everyday which varies from grass, grassland, fresh veggies, mazuri, herp craft, dried and fresh cactus, komodo-dandelion, and healthy herp tortoise food.
