The first “trick” for successful hatchlings is to start with a mature male and a mature female.
I used a “hovabator” type incubator. Set it up with probes that y’all can monitor making sure you’ve got your humidity where you want it easily maintained. Don’t waste your money on an egg turning device because if you won’t be doing birds, reptiles don’t need turning.

Also do y’all use bark in your grow up tanks I plan I do a 40 breeder for them to grow out in with hide outs and ceramic heater and a basking bulb

The Reptibator is the one in the middle. I've used it about a year now, for many clutches of eggs and I like it a lot better than the Little Giants:

You have to also have a thermometer inside the unit, because the electronic read-out doesn't always tell the truth.

I start babies in shoe boxes in a brooder for the first 7-10 days after hatching, and after that they go into enclosures with fine grade orchid bark for substrate.

My babies stay in the incubator until the yolk sac is all absorbed, then they go directly into an enclosure with fine grade orchid bark substrate.

The thermostat is included in the heating element in the lid. But I lay a thermometer down on the floor and set the thermostat according to the reading on the thermometer. for example, the electronic read out shows 90F but the thermometer shows 86F

Was supose to say thanks everyone

And definitely go with that fine grade orchid bark that Tom and Yvonne have mentioned. Babies will indeed eat any hatchling medium you have them on. Pellets, sand, even damp paper towels used to keep the humidity high for them.
