Well yesterday was my day to officially lay out about 30 bags of leafs for hibernation and I'm already bummed about stupid ol winter . So I grabbed a few pictures of my die hards that don't dig down until it gets in the 30s . I can't wait to take some "spring emergence" photos . Enjoy
They are some beauties! Love that last one especially. I was working in my box turtle enclosure this weekend cutting back tall grasses and the like. Seemed so sad and empty with all of them under ground.
Very pretty boxies. I don't know how you with brumaters do it. I would be so worried about them , that I don't think I could do it.
Hope all goes well and I can't believe they stay up in that cold of temps, burr.
Love seeing your Box Turtles. They are so beautiful. Yes, it's freezing here now and the box turtle garden looks so sad. Most of my plants are perennials, so it's just a big empty garden with a small pond now. I have one rescue that had an ear abscess, one baby GC, and another rescue that can't close it's shell, inside with me, so I have something to play with for the Winter. Always scary waiting for Spring to come.
