I've been trying to set up a kiddie pool habitat for them but we recently moved so they stay in a 20 gallon L tank with screen. They eat Timothy hay and orchard grass and hibiscus flowers and spring mix and we attempt to feed them mazuri pellets but they don't take to them. Is there anything else we should try to feed them?

They are outside in a 20 gallon tank? I think this is a mistake. I wouldn't house them this way. They don't tend to do as well when housed full time outdoors as babies, and that tank is way too small. How are you heating and lighting them? Night heat?
I hope we can help you a bit here.

Are you giving the Mazuri dry or soaked?
If dry, offer them soaked. If that doesn't work, mix the soaked pellets with carrot
I haven't heard about carrot slivers ill try that they are offered soaked pellets
