Hey all,
I have two Hermann’s that are male and female, I was wondering about how old they are. I know they are still juveniles due to their size and growth lines, but I was curious as to how big the average 2 and 3 year old Hermann’s are. One I believe is three and the other I believe is about 2.

Female (3) about 5.5 inches
Male (2) about 5 inches

Growth rates can vary tremendously and are dependent on a wide array of factors. This makes any average meaningless. When well hydrated, well fed, kept mostly indoors, and kept at the correct temperatures, they can grow 10 times faster on the same amount of food, as a clutch mate that has been raised outdoors, in a dry climate, soaked once a week, fed poorly, and left to Mother Nature's temperature and weather whims.
