Both of my CDTS are down for the winter in a shed in the back yard, they are in their own boxes with strips of newspaper surrounding them. I know it has gotten down into the thirties should I be worried?

You have to make sure that the area you have them in doesn't freeze. You run the risk of their eyeballs freezing if it gets down below 32F degrees.

30s outside doesn't mean 30s inside. Do you have a thermometer probe actually in with the tortoises, inside their box, inside the shed? That is the temp you need to watch.
