How active are you and torts post to be? I have one that's 5 months and another that's 7 or 8 months. They seem to be active in the morning basking and eating then back into there hide to sleep. Seems like there in there hide sleeping more then half the day is that usual?

We need to know your temperatures in the enclosure and pictures of it. That can help us know if something is wrong. If temps are correct, I don’t think they should sleep all day. Do you have them in separate enclosures? If not, they need to be.
They could be acting normal. I see this when it’s super hot. They come out in the morning and retreat when the day is the hottest. They come out again in the late afternoon. I don’t think that would be the issue if they are inside in an enclosure.
