I'll be with you on this one...step by step, no matter what.

* Thank you, it has been over one year now. He makes small progress and then relapses, however he displays strong signs and a will to live. He loves being around his cousins, it is amazing how he seems to relish just being in the mix and in the sunshine.

Whatever bond he has with his kin, it's apparent that it's probably what's keeping him alive. Is there any one particular cousin that he likes to hang around with?

Mr. Greg, was there a reason you kept him so long after hatching, even though he didnt show any abnormal signs during his first 4 years? I thought you rehomed them all asap.

~ Thank you, we are grateful that we have such a competent tortoise vet and that his condition is at least manageable. He has rough spells, however overall seems very happy and content!

Is this sweet little hopie snuggled down for the night? :)

~ He is, snug as a bug! We bring him every night when the temperature is under 70f at the low for the night. We have found that when he is kept warmer that he does much better. Our theory is that his injury/condition is possible spinal related and human patients respond with direct heat with these types of injuries/conditions. He seems to like the heat and we try to make him happy!
